Education in the Biodomo

The BioDomo visit underpins important educational objectives in education such as promoting respect for biodiversity, global and intergenerational solidarity, and knowledge of the interactions between science, technology, society and the environment

Education is one of the pillars on which BioDomo is based, which has a wide variety of educational activities, aimed at the general public as well as groups of visitors, students at different levels, teachers, trainees, etc. The development of these actions aims to promote conservation, awareness and communication on biodiversity.

Educational workshops:

For different educational levels and with prior reservation. For groups from 15 students. Cost € 1 / student.

Weekend workshops:

Playing with Evolution:

Friday: 5.30pm and 6pm

Through different games, we see how evolution has made possible the great biodiversity of the living beings as the represented in the BioDomo.

Colors and shapes of insects:

Saturday: 11:30, 12:00, 12:30, 13:00, 13:30, 17:30 and 18:00

This workshop shows the great diversity of tropical insects and the adaptations they present for their survival.

The ingenuity of plants:

Sundays: 11:30 a.m., 12:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m.

With seeds and fruits of our region and the tropics we discover the dispersion systems used by plants.

Free Workshops:

  • Available tokens and materials available to carry out the following activities:
  • Tracks and traces: who has come here?
  • Tracks and traces: feathers and pellets.
  • With the house on the slope.
  • The sands of the beaches.
  • Carnivorous with traps.

It will be carried out by public service personnel through the use of radio guides.

For general public:

Available for groups of 15 people, with a cost of € 1 per person.

An audio-guided tour is available for playback on mobile devices with an Internet connection.

 

Knowing the BioDomo, selecting the contents or specific workshops that most concern to students can contribute to a greater enjoyment and a better use, as a didactic resource, of this space.

Program of activities directed to the teaching staff to know the possibilities and resources of Parque de las Ciencias, applicable to the classroom.
